Psycho-educational Assessments

I complete thorough psycho-educational assessments for children and adults to identify factors that affect academic performance, including learning disabilities, giftedness, anxiety, perfectionism, and ADHD. These assessments identify learning styles, including individual strengths and weaknesses. Gifted learners need to be recognized to ensure their learning needs are met and their educational experiences are positive and productive.

Those with learning disabilities and other factors are diagnosed by comparing their academic performance to their assessed cognitive abilities. Recommendations for treatment or accommodations are proposed in a psycho-educational assessment report. This official document is required by school boards for the provision of individual educational plans.
